KING D'ORO bumped soon after the start, stalked the pace three wide, bid two wide around the far turn, took the lead near the quarter pole, battled outside of DRINK N WINK from there to deep stretch and edged ahead late. DRINK N WINK set the pace in the two path around the first turn and along the rail around the far turn, was headed near the quarter pole and gave way grudgingly. DOWNING STREET raced off the pace two wide and rallied for the show. WHITING FIELD was pinballed soon after the start, had some speed two wide between, angled to the rail late on the first turn, chased inside around the far turn and weakened in the lane. STROKE OF MIDNIGHT failed to menace while racing three wide. SPEED CONTROL bumped after the start, raced in range two and three wide and faded through the lane. FOXTROT HARRY was bumped on both sides soon after the start, saved ground and retreated through the lane. KUWAIT TOWERS was outrun while racing three and four wide.
