Footnotes
KALIMAN set the pace along the rail, drifted out in the stretch and widened under a drive. MUCHOMACHOMAC was pinched back at the start, raced well back two wide around the first turn, made good progress down the backstretch, prompted the winner two wide around the far turn, angled to the rail in upper stretch and stayed on to be clearly second best. HIGH PRINCE settled off the pace while racing two wide, went three wide between foes around the far turn and was along for the show between rivals late. TITAN bumped with RAGMAN at the start, raced up close outside, was forced to check and sharply alter course entering the first turn, raced well back outside around the rest of that bend, moved up some two wide around the far turn, angled to the rail in upper stretch and improved position. FIRST SHOT FIRED saved ground off the pace, checked near the five-eighths pole, continued to race at the rail around the far turn and never threatened. AIR FORCE ROYALTY chased the pace from the rail and faded in the lane. WILL OF A WARRIOR bumped at the start, saved ground off the pace, steadied near the five-eighths pole, went two wide between foes around the far turn and lacked a rally. RAGS SPECIAL bumped at the start, prompted the winner two and three wide and tired in the drive. HIGHLAND PEAK broke awkwardly, raced well back two wide, checked late on the first turn, went four wide around the far turn and was never in contention. FORTHELOVEOFART had early speed between foes, was forced out entering the first turn and clipped behind, raced four and five wide and was through after six furlongs. SULION had early speed inside, bore out entering the first turn and played no further factor. RAGMAN clipped heels and fell early on the first turn, quickly regained his feet, galloped along behind the field and walked off. THE STEWARDS CONDUCTED AN INQUIRY INTO THE INCIDENT ENTERING THE FIRST TURN AND FOUND NO REASON TO ALTER THE ORIGINAL ORDER OF FINISH.
