SONG SO SWEET vied for the early lead with ACCELERATE ME then assumed command, set a modest pace to the turn, showed the way to the quarter marker then drifted out a path to upper stretch, kept to task to the furlong pole while on the left lead, switched leads to the final sixteenth, dug in into deep stretch and held off the runner-up in the final strides. ACCELERATE ME sent to contest the early pace, ceded to SONG SO SWEET and stalked inside of that rival heading to the turn, angled out at the quarter marker, was roused from the four to five path into upper stretch, closed willingly into the final sixteenth while on the left lead, could not reel in the winner late and was a clear second. THEO'S THUNDER settled early on while never far back, chased outside of rivals into the turn then angled to the rail nearing the top of the stretch, closed into the final sixteenth, could not impact the top pair late and was clear for third. SPONGE TIME tracked the early pace from between rivals, chased two then three wide and between foes nearing the quarter pole, floated to the five path to upper stretch, could not keep pace into the final furlong and weakened in the late stages. ORB ALPHA rated off of the modest early pace, went up and chased three then four wide into the turn, lacked the needed response into the stretch and tired late. STRENGTHNGUIDANCE tracked the early pace from the inside, lost position nearing the half-mile marker, trailed into the turn and did not factor in the stretch.
