Footnotes
SCOTTIE TOO HOTTIE broke alertly and was sent for the early lead, showed good speed to the turn, was confronted by MAGIC SOLAR nearing the quarter marker, met that rival's bid and battled to the furlong marker, dueled inside of MAGIC SOLAR past mid-stretch, held a narrow lead into the final sixteenth and determinedly held on to prevail. MAGIC SOLAR was forwardly placed in the early going, chased the pace along the backstretch then went up to press SCOTTIE TOO HOTTIE into the turn, drew to even terms with the pacesetter at the quarter pole, battled into the stretch, fought gamely to the final sixteenth, was kept at bay in deep stretch and just missed for the win, while holding for second at the wire. SWEET INTERLUDE broke out at the start and was off slowly, settled in the early going, advanced four then five wide into upper stretch, closed willingly into the final sixteenth, finished well but could not reel in the top pair late and was clear for third. CALIFORNIA SWAG settled off of the early pace, made a steady gain three wide nearing the quarter marker, gave chase into the stretch then was outkicked in the final sixteenth. ONE LAST BULLET tracked the early pace from between rivals, got shuffled back a bit into the turn then was caught in tight at the quarter marker, found room along the rail into upper stretch, chased into the final furlong and could not muster the needed late response. TITANIO COCO was prominent away from the start, stalked the early pace from the inside, was well placed to the quarter pole, tipped out for the stretch drive, lacked the needed response at the furlong pole and weakened late. SWEDISH CANDY away from the gate a step slowly, settled outside of rivals in the early going while not far back, chased to the quarter marker then swung out for the stretch drive and did not rally late. SHOO IN settled off of the early pace, was void of early speed, trailed to the stretch and did not factor in the late stages.
