Footnotes
RASHID unhurried away from the start, saved ground to the far turn, angled five wide to upper stretch and was full of run into the final furlong, responded well into the final sixteenth, surged in the final strides and got up at the wire for a determined win. MURABEH forwardly placed in the early stages, was sent along the rail into the backstretch and disputed the decent pace to the half-mile marker, shook free nearing the quarter pole and led into the stretch, dug in into the final furlong, led to deep stretch and was nailed on the wire for the win, while holding for second. CORTA FUEGO settled into the first turn, coaxed between rivals along the backstretch while not far back, navigated traffic between rivals two to three wide nearing the quarter marker, rallied four wide into the stretch, finished well late and just missed for the win and place, while getting up in time to earn the show. YANKEE DRUMMER was forwardly placed early on, tracked the decent pace between rivals along the backstretch, bid two then three wide nearing the quarter marker, battled to mid-stretch and was outkicked in the final sixteenth. OASIS PRINCE settled in the early going, saved ground to the far turn, waited for racing room at the quarter marker, angled three wide to upper stretch and rallied to the furlong grounds, was gaining late but could not reel in the leaders into deep stretch. DIME PAPI settled just off of the early pace, was well placed while saving ground into the backstretch, saved all of the ground to the far turn then chased to mid-stretch, could not find more into the final sixteenth and was outfinished in deep stretch. PIQUANT was unhurried in the early stages, coaxed outside of rivals to the far turn, swung five wide to upper stretch and lacked a final response. SU DREAM settled just off of the early pace, was caught in tight while between foes and four to five wide into the first turn, raced widest to the half-mile marker, ran in pursuit four wide into the far turn, lacked the needed response to upper stretch and did not rally late. SUGAR BUZZ settled in the second flight away from the start, was caught five to six wide into the first turn, tracked the decent pace three to four wide along the backstretch, gave chase into the second turn and could not muster a final response. GIURO sent for the early lead, assumed command into the first turn, was engaged by MURABEH into the backstretch run, contested a decent pace outside of that rival heading to the far turn, lost position nearing the quarter marker then stopped in upper stretch.
