Footnotes
WORLD TRAVELER close up to the early pace, took back into the first turn, tracked the pace from the inside into the backstretch, was well placed to the half-mile pole, tipped three wide into the far turn and vied for the lead to upper stretch, took command into the final furlong, held sway to the final sixteenth, kept to task into deep stretch and held over the oncoming runner-up. DRUM ROLL was forwardly placed leaving the start, rated just off of the early pace and settled while never far back into the backstretch, roused to the quarter marker, angled three to four wide to upper stretch, responded well and rallied into the final sixteenth, could not reel in the winner into deep stretch and was a clear second. FLORIBUNDA sent for the early lead, took command into the first turn then was engaged by MOBAY PRINCESS into the backstretch, disputed the decent pace inside of that rival heading to the half-mile marker, dueled into the far turn then led to upper stretch, was overtaken at the furlong marker but stayed on to the final sixteenth, could not keep pace with the top pair late and saved third at the wire. MORE THAN GLORY settled off of the early pace, saved ground into the first turn, was unhurried up the backstretch then maintained an inside path to the far turn, angled out at mid-stretch, could not muster the needed late response, finished evenly and just missed for third. TINTA ROJA was crowded at the start and a bit slow away from the gate, settled off of the disputed early pace, raced widest to the half-mile pole, advanced four then five wide nearing the quarter marker, gave chase into the stretch then flattened out late. MOBAY PRINCESS forwardly placed away from the start, went up to dispute the early pace into the first turn, contested decent fractions to the half-mile marker, dueled into the far turn, was outkicked to upper stretch then faded in the final stages. LADY EMILY KATHRYN settled away from the start, tracked the pace three to four wide nearing the half-mile marker, ran in pursuit to the quarter pole and did not rally late. ESCAPE ROOM got squeezed leaving the break and was off slowly, settled while saving ground into the first turn, was unhurried along the backstretch and saved all of the ground to the far turn, caught in traffic at the quarter pole, found room to upper stretch, did not offer a late response and was transported off of the track via the equine ambulance. CELESTIAL EXPRESS off a bit slowly leaving the start, was asked for early run and tracked the pace three deep into the first turn, well placed to the half-mile marker, chased into the far turn and stopped into upper stretch.
