GIRVIN STAR bobbled at the break despite breaking alertly and dueled for the lead two wide and then bumped with SLENDER SLIPPER entering the turn and drew clear on the turn and moved to the inside and then was kept to right handed crop urging while drawing off to prove much the best. SLENDER SLIPPER was unruly in the gate, broke alertly and dueled for the lead to the inside of the winner, bumped with that rival entering the turn and then chased that rival to the quarter pole, came three wide off the bend and proved to be no match for the winner while staying on for the place award. FONTINA tracked the leaders on the inside and then chased the pace on the inside on the turn, moved out and came three wide into the lane and moved out in the lane but lacked the needed bid while besting the rest. MEAN TO ME tracked the early pace two wide and then chased the pace two to three wide on the turn, came four wide and in between rivals into the lane, bumped with LANCE'S SMILE leaving the bend and had faded. LANCE'S SMILE was allowed to settle early, raced two to four wide on the turn while advancing a tad on the turn, came five wide off the bend and bumped with a rival but had no rally. ELLAGIO was away alertly and settled early on the outside, three to four wide on the turn and came six wide into the lane but lacked a rally. LA TREMENDA was settled back early, moved out and was four wide on the turn and came six wide into the lane but had no response. JOCKEYS OBJECTION the number three against the winner entering the turn, after the STEWARDS reviewed the replays the objection was disallowed.
