Footnotes
FACTOR THAT broke well, pulled even with OVER THE CLOUDS in the initial stages then ceded the lead to that one, stalked the pace from the outside, bid for the lead near the quarter pole, met no resistance, opened up in the stretch and held clear to the wire. CONTESSA'S SONG tracked behind the duel while racing between horses in the tracking group, was first to go after the leaders leaving the quarter pole, was kept in a steady drive down the stretch and produced a grinding finish to get up for second while no threat to the winner. AUNT KENDRA was hustled from the break but unable to contest the early pace, stayed to the inside through the turn the ran on well under strong handling but was no match for the winner. PINK SOLITAIRE raced three wide in the tracking group, bid four wide into the stretch and was mildly gaining late. MIRAGE CODE was allowed to settle from the break, raced near the rear of the field through the early stages then saved ground through the turn, tipped five wide into the stretch and ran on but was much too late. IMMA GOING TO WIN up close through the early stages, lacked room on the turn to make a rally but lacked a winning kick once clear. OVER THE CLOUDS broke well and sped to the lead, soon joined by FACTOR THAT, retook the lead heading into the turn, led the field through the turn then proved no match for FACTOR THAT when challenged at the quarter pole and weakened in the stretch. MIA IS SHORT outrun while racing four wide down the backstretch and was never a threat. WEST TEXAS RUBY reared at the start and lost the rider, walked off.
