Footnotes
UPTOWN TAPPIN was allowed to settle early and bided time between horses in the trailing group, moved up on the far turn while in hand, lacked room to make a bid approaching the quarter pole, found a seam in upper stretch, responded when set down, wore down JUTE BOX inside the sixteenth and went on to win clear. JUTE BOX settled near the back of the pack three to four wide through the early stages, made a strong middle move through the turn to reach contention, took the lead passing the three-sixteenths pole and finished well under steady handling but could not hold off the winner in the final yards. KING OF THE DISCO raced between horses and near the back of the compact field, advanced a little through the last turn, ran on under strong handling down the stretch then found best stride in the final yards to get up for third. GET DREAMY settled at the back of the field through the first half, then responded when put into a drive from the seven-sixteenths marker, circled the field on the far turn, came seven wide at the top of the stretch, ran on under strong handling but was outkicked in the late stages. ROYALIST settled inside well behind the pace, started to run on from the three furlong marker under strong handling, finished with good interest but was not good enough. INACLASSOFMYOWN stalked the pace to the far turn, took a brief lead on the far turn but could not go on in the stretch. ROAD TO ELDORADO raced between horses in the tracking group, went on for the lead along with INACLASSOFMYOWN from the three furlong pole, came to the top of the stretch with every chance but did not run on and was surrounded and passed by several in the stretch. ATLANTIC STORM raced close up while three to four wide, loomed a threat while making a forward move on the far turn but could not sustain the run. THE LAST MOXY set a pressured pace through the first half-mile then stopped at the seven-sixteenths pole, dropped to last and was not a factor from that point.
