GRAPNEL veered out at the break but was quickly up with the leaders in the early stages, took the lead heading into the turn with PUDDING pressing the issue to the inside, had that one get the jump at the top of the stretch but battled gamely, wore down that foe in the final furlong and was up in the last jump. PUDDING came away well and vied for the early lead on the rail, pulled away from the rest with GRAPNEL on the turn, got a head in front at the top of the stretch, dueled all the way to the wire and came up short in a tight finish. TAKE ACTION vied between horses early, rallied away from the tracking group on the far turn, finished well down the stretch and outfinished all but the top pair. PINKY RING BLING broke a beat slow but steadily advanced on the leaders down the backstretch, went five to six wide on the turn and kept on with some interest. HARD CANDY raced mid-pack down the backstretch, was trying to make a late bid when blocked at the top of the stretch, swung out the the three path and ran on a bit under urging once clear. R D C POSSE unable to contest the early pace, raced near the rear of the tracking group, finished evenly under a drive but was never a threat. BIG MUCKITY broke sharply and vied between horses for the early lead, could not go on with the others from the three furlong marker and flattened out in the stretch. DARYLSLITTLEDIABLO raced in the middle of the tracking group, made a mile forward move into the turn but could not sustain the bid and finished evenly. HARD GOLD tracked just behind the developing pace battle, lacked room to make a bid through the far turn but then had nothing to offer when clear. FAST TRAFFIC lacked speed from the break, swung five wide into the stretch and passed a couple in the stretch. CALL OF HONOR raced mid-pack while saving ground throughout then was one-paced in the stretch and did not rally. TEXAS PRADO lacked any early speed, chased throughout while three to five wide and could not improve.
