MARIAH'S CANDY was allowed to settle from the break and was content to trail early, advanced into contention down the backstretch then was stuck behind a wall of horses as the field turned into the stretch, swung about five wide and surged when asked the question by the rider, caught MATH MYSTERY by mid-stretch and drew clear as much the best. SUNNY SAN LEON settled well behind from the break, bided time down the backstretch then navigated a clever trip through the turn, saved ground then swung five to six wide for the stretch run, rallied strongly under steady handling and intermittent urging and was easily up for second. MATH MYSTERY broke best and led out of the gate then ceded the lead to LET HER BUCK, tracked that one through the turn then bid for the lead from the 5/16, took the lead in upper stretch, held to the furlong grounds then was no match for the top two in the late stages but held third. WA WA WEE WA settled mid-pack and was content to track along the inside, responded when set down with three furlongs to run and finished willlingly. DREAM TOWN tracked mid-pack while staying in the clear three to four wide down the backstretch, started to run on from the three furlong marker and came six wide into the stretch the flattened out. LET HER BUCK broke very slowly the rushed to get forward position, cleared the field then angled over to the rail, led into the turn then gave way at the quarter pole and faded in the stretch despite being kept to task to the wire. JUST ADORABLE raced up close three wide down the backstretch, loomed a big threat approaching the quarter pole, came into the stretch with every chance then stopped. RUBY THE DESTROYER lacked speed and was always outrun.
