Footnotes
HOT GUNNER lagged near the back of the field to the half then steadied in traffic on the far turn, swung five wide into the stretch full of run, rallied strongly down the stretch under steady handling and urging and won the bob at the line. MISSING ROCKS broke well and dueled with KENTUCKY DREAMIN to the far turn, put that foe away passing the three furlong marker, pulled clear in the stretch under steady handling and lost a heartbreaker at the wire. DOMINANT SPIRIT veered out after the break and bumped CHEROKEE SUNRISE, settled in the middle of pack early under a light hold, advanced on the leaders after passing the half-mile pole, pulled even leaving the quarter pole then had every chance in the stretch but was outkicked by the top two in the final yards. LUCKY TAPITURE settled at the back through the early stages, went into a stiff drive with three furlongs to run, came five to six wide into the stretch, kept on and was able to pass a few in the lane. INDIAN CAT brushed both sides after the break, well placed to the inside to the half, became boxed in on the far turn then lacked a response when clear in the stretch and finished one-paced. CHEROKEE SUNRISE took a bump after the break but was able to get forward position three wide into the first turn, remained to the outside down the backstretch and through the turn then was outrun in the stretch. BOSS DOWN broke awkwardly to the inside and made contact with INDIAN CAT, lacked any speed and was distanced early, kept on and and passed a tired one in the stretch. KENTUCKY DREAMIN broke well and rushed to the lead with the rider doing his best to temper the pace, dueled with MISSING ROCKS through the early stages and into the far turn, came under a ride passing the three furlong pole and had little to offer in the stretch.
