CLOUDY PAST vied for the early lead from inside of runners, contested the moderate pace through the backstretch run, saved ground to the second turn then vied for the lead at the quarter pole, battled into upper stretch, shook free nearing the sixteenth-marker and drew away under firm hand urging in deep stretch. HEATS HERO settled just off of the early pace, was well placed through the backstretch run, chased two to three wide nearing the quarter pole, swung widest into the stretch, could not impact the winner in the final sixteenth and closed in the late stages to earn the place honors. DRAMA KING allowed to settle, saved ground into the first turn then was unhurried through the backstretch run, saved all of the ground to the second turn, bid into upper stretch, was outkicked in the final sixteenth and just missed for second, while clear of the rest for third. OKLAHOMA FLAME raced close up to the early pace, was caught six wide into the first turn, tracked the early pace while widest into the backstretch run, bid four wide into the far turn then vied for the lead into upper stretch, could not keep pace into the final sixteenth and weakened late. MR JAWS sent leaving the start, vied for the early lead three wide into the first turn, prompted the decent pace through the backstretch run, battled into the second turn, lost position into upper stretch and faded in the drive. GUS CAUSE raced close up to the early pace, was caught five wide into the first turn, took back and settled through the backstretch, chased three wide to the quarter pole and failed to threaten in the lane. BETTER EDGE forwardly placed while four wide to the first turn, took back and tracked the pace three wide to the backstretch run, well placed nearing the half-mile pole, chased two wide to the quarter marker, was outrun into upper stretch then gave way. MISCHIEF MAC vied for the early lead from between rivals, contested the decent pace into the backstretch run, battled into the second turn, could not keep pace nearing the top of the stretch and tired in the drive. THE WINNING EDGE hopped and was a step slow away from the start, settled off of the early pace while never far back, saved ground into the backstretch run and was well placed nearing the half-mile pole, was outrun to the second turn and faltered in the stretch drive. HANK RIDGE allowed to settle, saved ground to the second turn and did not factor in the stretch.
