Footnotes
SHAMAYIM unhurried away from the start and saved ground into the first turn, saved all of the ground along the backstretch and into the second turn, angled five wide into upper stretch, closed determinedly into the final sixteenth, wore down foes in deep stretch and inched clear in the final strides. LEVY close up to the early pace, tucked in and tracked two wide into the first turn, unhurried while never far back nearing the half-mile, gained four wide into the second turn, made a sustained rally through the lane and vied for the lead at the sixteenth-pole, was outfinished by the winner in deep stretch and got up for the place honors. DEANOS CAPE forwardly placed in the run to the first turn, tracked the decent pace three wide into the backstretch, chased three wide to the quarter pole, responded to urging into the stretch, vied for the lead at the sixteenth-marker, was outfinished in deep stretch and held safely for the show. CATHOLIC GUILT vied for the early lead from between rivals, assumed command into the first turn, set decent fractions while pressured along the backstretch, held a narrow lead at the quarter pole then battled into the lane, dueled EMPIRE'S BEST to mid-stretch and fought on to the sixteenth-pole, could not match strides with oncoming rivals in deep stretch and yielded. SPECIAL MOMENT took back off of the early pace, raced two wide and between runners up the backstretch, shifted to the rail into the second turn, loomed into upper stretch then waited for racing room at the furlong marker, shifted out at mid-stretch and was outkicked in the final stages. WIN WORTHY bobbled at the start, broke slowly and spotted the field to begin, lagged in the early going, trailed into the second turn and saved ground to the top of the lane, found his best stride late but was unable to impact the leaders in deep stretch. EMPIRE'S BEST sent to be prominent early, drifted out into the first turn then engaged with CATHOLIC GUILT and pressed that rival into the backstretch run, attended to decent fractions nearing the half-mile pole, battled into the second turn then took command into upper stretch, was overtaken into the final sixteenth and faded in deep stretch. COMPUTATION away in good order, ceded the early lead and tracked from the inside into the first turn, well placed up the backstretch, saved all of the ground to the second turn, ran evenly to mid-stretch and lacked a late response. VARSITY was crowded at the start and away slowly, settled three then two wide into the first turn, made a steady advance through the backstretch run, chased five wide to the quarter pole then did not factor in the stretch. COOL MEMORY settled while saving ground into the first turn, chased two wide to the quarter pole and did not threaten in the stretch. PLAYBOY STYLE allowed to settle, raced outside of rivals into the second turn, swung widest into upper stretch and did not factor in the late stages. SEND OFF close up to the early pace, tracked two wide and between runners into the backstretch, lost position nearing the quarter pole then came up empty in the stretch.
