Footnotes
SWEET KARAT CAKE rated nicely off of the early pace, settled two wide and between rivals into the first turn, unhurried while never far back through the backstretch, got caught in tight into the second turn and was boxed in nearing the quarter marker, found room into upper stretch, dove to the rail past the furlong marker then loomed into the final sixteenth, surged in deep stretch and got up in the final strides for a determined win. MIDSHIPMAN'S LADY sent to assume early command, set decent fractions while prompted up the backstretch, kicked clear into the second turn then extended the lead into upper stretch, kept to task to the final sixteenth, was all out in deep stretch then was caught in the final strides and held for second at the finish. ATHENA D'ORO tracked the early pace two to three wide and between runners, went up and prompted the pace through the backstretch, chased the pacesetter to the quarter marker then ran in pursuit into the stretch, closed willingly in the final sixteenth and just missed for the place, while holding for the show. LEXINGTON DIVA forwardly placed while three to four wide into the first turn, tracked the pace three wide to the quarter pole then ran in pursuit into the far turn, spun four wide into the stretch and chased to the furlong marker, could not muster the needed late response and was outkicked in deep stretch. KAUSE I'M DEVINE broke slowly then was rank on the run to the first turn, tracked the early pace outside of runners, was well placed while widest up the backstretch, chased three to four wide to the quarter marker, closed well into the final sixteenth but was outkicked in deep stretch. HOLIDAY PRESENCE settled two to three wide and between runners into the first turn, unhurried while never far back through the backstretch, chased three wide to the quarter marker then swung six wide into the stretch, showed good late interest but could not impact the leaders at the finish. SALTAMONTES DIVA settled off of the early pace, checked while on heels and a bit rank into the first turn, unhurried along the backstretch, saved all of the ground to the second turn, angled three to four wide into the stretch, was gaining in the late stages but could not reel in the winners in deep stretch. STIRRING UP DUST away in good order, ceded the early lead and stalked from the inside into the first turn, shifted two wide into the backstretch and tracked the pace to the half-mile, chased into the far turn, ran evenly to mid-stretch and lacked a late kick. GRACIE'S KITTEN a bit keen while close up in the early going, settled and saved ground into the backstretch, tracked the decent pace while saving ground to the second turn, was caught in tight and waited for racing room nearing the quarter pole, shifted out into the stretch, ran evenly to the furlong marker, navigated traffic and was gaining late but could not muster the needed late response. RON'S LAVENDER broke slowly then settled while saving ground to the first turn, unhurried through the backstretch run, swung widest into the lane and did not factor late.
