OCELOT broke well and dueled outside of BROCK ON BAY always traveling well, took command approaching the three furlong marker, drew clear of the rest before the turn for home, opened up a big lead in the stretch then was desperate to hold off a pair of closers in the final yards. ILLUSTRATOR lagged at the rear of the field through the first half-mile, saved ground through the turn then produced a furious rally up the rail in the stretch to just miss. WHISKEY NOT WINE settled about a half-dozen lengths behind the leader, went three wide through the turn and closed stoutly in the late stages but came up short. FROM THE HEART raced last in the early going, was under a drive from the half and rapidly gaining but ran out of time. BROCK ON BY settled inside, just behind the pace, went into a drive from the quarter pole, was no match for the winner and passed late for a minor award. MAZUMA tracked behind the pacesetters to the outside of TEAM LEADER, launched a bid from the three furlong pole, came three wide into the stretch but came up empty and finished evenly. TEAM LEADER broke through the gate before the start, was reloaded, then after the break tracked just behind the pacesetters on the rail to the far turn, ranged up between horses passing the quarter pole, then faltered in the stretch.
