HEY COWGIRL was allowed to settle into stride from the break and was between horses in the middle of the pack through the early stages, retreated to be closer to the back for the run down the backstretch, was still near the back turning into the stretch, had trouble changing leads, got straight in mid-stretch then surged through an opening with a furlong to run and gamely held off a rival to the outside to prevail. GRACIE'S KITTEN came out of the first turn in the third spot then was content to hold that position to the far turn, launched a bid for the lead three wide from the five-sixteenths, got a slight lead at the top of the stretch then dueled through the late stages with HEY COWGIRL and came up a nose short. KAUSE I'M DEVINE went three wide through the first turn, tracked in the middle of the pack staying to the outside down the backstretch and through the turn, came five wide into the stretch and finished well under strong handling despite racing on the left lead for most of the stretch. ATHENA D'ORO tracked a bit more than a length behind the early leader, bid for the lead at the quarter pole then gave way in mid-stretch. EVERLEIGH'S QUEEN raced mid-pack through the early stages, saved ground to the stretch, tipped out to the three path but lacked a response once clear. TELEKINETIC got a ground saving trip while settling near the rear of the field, was put into a drive with three furlongs to run, kept the inside path through the turn, then was unable produce a winning kick in the stretch and was outfinished. SALTAMONTES DIVA made the early lead without being asked, was confronted by ATHENA D'ORO near the quarter pole, fought back briefly but was spent from early efforts and had little to offer in the stretch. NOBLE AWARE unhurried, settled at the rear of the pack, started to lose contact with the field heading into the far turn and finished far back.
