Footnotes
HOLLYWOOD ENDING broke out bumped CHIVALROUS at the break, then took up a tracking position while letting MO SATURDAYS dictate the early pace through the first half mile, bided time then went to challenge for the lead approaching the quarter pole, took a slight lead passing the three-sixteenths then widened when set down in the stretch and held a fast closing rival at bay late. TWENTY ONE SKIDOO rated inside near the back through the early stages, swung five wide into the stretch and closed with a rush to gain the second spot. MO SATURDAYS got the lead and rail from the break, cleared off coming off the first turn while under mild restraint, tried to quicken when under challenge leaving the three furlong pole, could not hold off the top two but finished willingly to save third. UP UP AND AWAY raced between horses near the rear through the early stages, launched a bid from last leaving the three furlong marker and produced a grinding finish to improve position. JUSTICE DEPARTMENT unhurried and last into the first turn, responded when asked to go on from the three furlong marker, bid five wide into the stretch and finished willingly but lacked a winning kick. CHIVALROUS got squeezed at the start then was caught four wide through the first turn, pulled the rider to be close up three deep with the tracking group, made a bid for the lead leaving the five-sixteenths marker then finished evenly. BAREFOOT SAMURAI broke in and put the squeeze on CHIVALROUS at the start then was mid-pack to the half then dropped down to the rail through the far turn then went one-paced in the stretch. UPTOWN TAPPIN raced two wide at the back of the pack for the first half then launched a four to five wide bid through the turn, came under heavy pressure at the quarter pole then offered little in the stretch. THUNDER ROAD settled mid-pack inside through the early stages then backed out of the picture on the far turn and trailed the rest of the way.
