COOL COWBOY broke well and tracked four to five wide, loomed in hand on the turn, then opened up on the field when set down at the top of the stretch and won going away. GO GO BOSS hustled for forward position and was involved in the early pace battle, backed off heading into the turn the re-bid in the stretch, closed well under strong handling, was no match for the winner but was a clear second. QUALITY STYLE was sent from the break, gained the lead then left to carve out the early fractions, got some pressure from a pair of rivals not he turn, dug in under pressure but was unable to sustain the bid and was outfinished for second. TEXIAN DEVIL was last away, made a sustained bid from the back after passing the quarter pole, saved ground through the turning ran on to improve late without ever being a serious threat. VALHALLA VIKING raced mid--pack to the outside of the second flight, bid four wide into the stretch and finished evenly. KEYS GOLDEN SONG was close up but wide in the early pace scramble, was contesting the pace between horses on the turn, then dropped out after passing the quarter and had little to offer in the stretch. TRESILLIAN tracked just behind the pacesetters two deep then dropped out after passing the three furlong maker and faded. UNCLE DON was slow into stride the was under handling early to stay in contention, went into a stiff drive near the seven-sixteenths pole but did not respond and finished well beaten. TEXAS LONE STAR struggled to keep up after being close up for a quarter mile then was outrun the rest of the way.
