Footnotes
JUST AN OPINION was widest of six horses contesting the early pace the dropped back a bit to a stalking position, went to challenge for the lead approaching the quarter pole, gained the advantage in deep stretch and won clear. GHOSTLY NIGHT was inside of the pace battle, edged ahead late on the turn then came into the stretch with a clear lead, finished well under steady handling and intermittent urging, could not hold off the winner late but finished well clear of the third horse. CAN'T ZAP THIS was outrun from the break and chased down the backstretch, came three wide under a drive into the stretch and finished up well under steady handling for third. CATCHING HEAT was two deep in the early pace mix, came under pressure before the quarter pole and was under hard urging to hold position in the stretch but was outfinished for a minor award. ITS MY MONEY TOO was slow into stride, was being coaxed to regain contact with the field, made a five wide bid on the turn an into the stretch and flattened out. SECRET KNOCK was in the middle of the scramble for the early lead, loomed large passing the quarter pole and tired. BLUEBONNET GIRL was four deep in the early pace battle, was prominent until late on the turn and tired in the stretch. THE RAGE OF ART vied four deep through the early going, dropped out of the mix passing the half-mile marker and howed little interest late.
