ZAPHOD had good speed and joined the early pace battle on the inside, responded when roused at the top of the stretch went a length clear and held sway under steady handling and intermittent urging to prevail. EIGHT SEVEN MAGIC broke well the vied for the early lead between horses, had the eventual winner slip away at the top of the stretch, chased that rival to the wire and was well clear of the third horse. TIME TO COLLECT came away well but dropped back when unable to match the early pace, settled near the rear of a very compact field, was still left with much to do as the field turned into the stretch but finished well under strong handling to gain the third spot. GET DREAMY broke well and was sent hard to get forward position, was unable to contest the lead then dropped back to a tracking position, launched a bid for the lead form the five-sixteenths pole, had a little trouble with the lead change at the top of the stretch but got straight and finished up well but was unable to crack the top three. SOLEVO was last away but never far from the front, went seven wide into the stretch, rallied and passed a few in the stretch to improve. DELTA FRONT broke well and rushed into the early pace mix, became boxed in on the turn, stayed on the rail then finished evenly. HE'S A STRIKER was always five to six wide and lacked a finish. C'MON CHAOS pressed and stalked the early pace three wide, was still in the mix at the top of the stretch then came under pressure and faltered in the late stages. CARRY THE FLAG raced five wide near the rear of the field and was unable to make an impact.
