SPONGE BATH ceded the early lead but was coaxed to keep close, responded with an explosive move when asked leaving the five-sixteenths pole, inhaled the leaders at the top of the stretch and went clear in a powerful performance. MITOLE'S LIMIT was away well and tracked behind the dueling leaders, bided time in hand through the turn, had more traffic issues in upper stretch surged to the eventual winner in the final yards but was too late. TEXAS CREED tracked five wide down the backstretch then bid three wide through the turn, put a head in front turning into the stretch but proved no match for the winner and was outfinished for second. MULTIPLE OPINIONS settled at the back of the field through the early stages, went three wide through the turn then finished with some interest in the stretch and picked off a few rivals to improve position. POLIS was off slowly then lost the path after the break, moved over to the rail and trailed the field into the turn, cut the corner into the stretch and was kept to task and improved. CHEERS TO CANDY dueled inside with CHARMING OKIE through rapid splits and tired in the stretch. CHARMING OAKIE engaged in a spirited speed duel to the outside of CHEERS TO CANDY, weakened passing the quarter pole and had little to offer in the stretch. NEVER OVER ME raced in the middle of the tracking group then lacked a rally.
