TAKE ACTION was off a step slow then hustled into the early pace mix, put a head in front passing the half-mile marker, vied inside of a pair of foes also intent on contesting the pace, pulled ahead past the quarter pole and had a clear lead turning for home, opened up then easily held off a late bid from a rival. FORT HOOD got pinballed at the start then tracked the pace from the rail to the turn, emerged from the pack in the stretch with a late bid but could not get to the winner while far ahead of the third horse. HEZAKOOLKAT pressed the pace three wide then was unable to go on from the quarter pole, kept on well to hold third. TALK ABOUT AUTISM raced three wide with the second group, continued that path through the turn then ran on some late while never a serious threat. BOLSHIE was between horses in the tracking group, dropped back to last on the turn then came back on under steady urging but could not make an impact. STRAIGHT LUCK broke in and made contact with FORT HOOD then vied between horses through the early stages, struggled to keep up after passing the quarter pole then hand little to offer in the stretch.
