Footnotes
ZITI (FR) was racing two wide racing mid-pack into the first turn, steadied to avoid the spill near the six furlong pole, then tracked just behind the new leaders as the rest of the pack carried on down the backstretch, bid three wide approaching the quarter pole, took command at the head of the stretch and pulled clear under steady handling and intermittent urging. AIRO DINERO settled at the back of the compact field early then was mostly unaffected by the incident on the first turn, kept to the inside to the far turn then tipped out to the three path for the stretch run, was no match for the winner but finished well to be a clear second. CHATON ROUGE was two wide turning on to the main course took up sharply behind the spill then raced near the back of the compact field to the far turn, came three wide into the stretch and finished up with good energy to gain the third spot. STRIKE THE BELL was largely unaffected by the spill and inherited the lead midway on the first turn, was being coaxed to keep pace with KINKY MOON racing down the backstretch, came under pressure passing the quarter pole then was outkicked in the stretch. KINKY MOON was pressing the pace three wide into the first turn then had to check sharply and alter course at the six furlong pole to avoid the fallen riders, regrouped and took a short lead as the rest of the field went on down the backstretch through very moderate fractions, came under pressure past the quarter pole then weakened deep stretch. MADE AN OFFER broke well and secured the lead and the rail on to the main course, ducked out suddenly just past the six furlong pole losing the rider and slammed into COUNTRY SLUGGER, knocking that foe off-stride and dislodging its rider. COUNTY SLUGGER came away well from the gate and pressed the pace two wide onto the main course and into the first turn, passing the six furlong marker was slammed into by MADE AND OFFER and lost the rider.
