(PLUS UP TO $15,000 ATB) FOR GRADUATES OF THE 2023 TEXAS YEARLING SALE OR THE 2024 TEXAS 2-YEAR-OLDS IN TRAINING SALE, THREE YEARS OLD. $500 to pass the entry box and an additional $500 to start. $25,000 from Open plus $75,000 Added from the TTA Event Fun d plus all fees to be distributed: $1,000 to all starters sixth through last. The remaining balance to be distributed 60% to the winner, 20% to the second, 11% to third, 6% to fourth and 3% to fifth. Weights: 122 lbs. Non-winners of a Sweepstakes allowed 3 lbs. Non-winners ofa race other than Maiden or Claiming allowed 5 lbs. The field will be limited to twelve starters with preference to horses with highest lifetime earnings at the time of entry. Horses not drawing a starting position in the gate will receive a refund of thee entry fee. Starters to be named through the entry box by the usual time of closing. A trophy will be presented to the winning owner.

JOLLY SAMURAI came away well and was content to track mid-pack well off the pace, switched to the outside midway down the backstretch, deftly navigated a clear path through the far turn, chased HOT GUNNER down the stretch, gradually cut into the margin approaching the wire and got up in the last jump. HOT GUNNER was unhurried through the first half, circled the field on the far turn then took the lead in mid-stretch, fought on gamely as a rival was coming on to the outside, but lost the bob and the wire. COUNTTHEBRAVE vied three wide then took command after passing the half-mile marker, opened up three or four lengths through the far turn, held on to mid-stretch then was overtaken by the top pair but finished miles clear of the next horse. DOMINANT SPIRIT was close up inside, went four wide through the stretch and kept to task and managed to outlast the rest of the field to get the fourth position. KING ADOLIS lacked speed and was content to trail through the early going, was last as the field turned for home and managed to outfinish a few stragglers. RING SEEKER went four wide through the first turn then tracked just behind the duel, made a brief bid into second position before the stretch but could not sustain the bid and was shortening strides in the stretch. COALCOWBOY tracked in the middle of the pack had no response when asked to quicken from the seven-sixteenths then slowed to a walk in the stretch. TOM SAWYER dueled two wide to the halfway point then had nothing to offer late. FROZENTAP broke a step slow but hustled to the front, dueled with TOM SAWYER to the half-mile marker, edged clear from that one then had no answer when COUNTTHEBRAVE took over the lead at that point, started to weaken and drop back through the field from the five-sixteenths pole and had nothing left for the stretch.
