FOR TEXAS ACCREDITED FOUR YEAR OLDS AND UPWARD. No nomination fee. $500 due at time of entry. Starters to pay an additional $500. Supplemental nominations in the amount of $2,000 may be made at time of entry and shall include all fees. $5,000 from Open pl us $70,000 Added from the TTA Event Fund plus all fees to be distributed: $1,000 to all starters sixth through last. The remaining balance to be distributed: 60% to the winner, 20% to second, 11% to third, 6% to fourth and 3% to fifth. Weight: 123 lbs. N on-winners of a Sweepstakes at a mile or over in 2024 - 2025 allowed 3 lbs. Non-winners of two races at a mile or over since September 22, 2024 allowed 5 lbs. (Maiden, Claiming and Starter races not considered in weight allowances.) This race will be limi ted to twelve starters with preference to horses with highest earnings in 2024-2025 at time of entry. Horses not drawing a starting position in the gate will receive a refund of the entry fee. Starters to be named through the entry box by the usual time o f closing. REGAL TERKA broke well but was not asked for any speed, settled at the rear of the field to the half-mile marker, was patiently ridden through the far turn two wide then got a big hole to run through at the three-sixteenths, surged ahead and sprinted clear to the wire. SUNLIT SONG was unhurried and settled inside with the tracking group, got closer as the field advanced to the far turn then became boxed in, checked just before the stretch, angled out to the four path and finished with good energy under steady handling to get up for the place. SUPERSECRETWEAPON got caught three wide early, raced on the outside of the tracking group, advanced into contention still wide on the far turn then ran on well through the stretch but nailed at the wire for the second spot. SILENCE D'ORO had good speed from the break and was first to cross the main course, led the field down the backstretch with a couple of rivals in close pursuit, moderated the early fractions then went clear through the last turn with MOR VICTORY ahead of the rest, had a short lead turning for home but was overtaken in upper stretch. RAROTONGA got shuffled back after the break and was last on to the main course, settled near the back towards the inside, became boxed in on the far turn, then came three wide into the stretch, had a little trouble running straight at the top of the stretch then lacked a winning kick once clear. BOBBY BRINKLEY got away from the rail after the start and raced in the middle of the pack two wide through the first turn, made some forward progress heading into the far turn, bid three wide into the stretch but was outkicked. MOR VICTORY broke a bit awkwardly but recovered, got forward position early, pressing SILENCE D'ORO on the lead through the early stages, drew even at the halfway point and went together through the far turn, could not find another gear in the stretch and faded down the lane. IBERIAN RUNNER came away well and got a good stalking position just behind the two leaders, was traveling well down the backstretch then came under a ride before the quarter pole and tired in the stretch.
