CANYON STREAK had good speed from the outer post without being pushed, emerged from the first turn in a stalking position behind TIGER MAN MCKOOL and was content to shadow that one while under a tight hold, ramped up the pressure late on the far turn then sprinted away from the rest when asked at the top of the stretch and went well clear to a popular victory. TIGER MAN MCKOOL was hustled from the start and secured the rail and the lead through the first turn, had CANYON STREAK as a constant shadow to the far turn, the tried to go on when that one challenged for the lead approaching the quarter pole, could not match strides but kept to task through the stretch and saved the place. HEATS HERO raced between horses in the tracking group, broke away going into the far turn to make a run at the lead, was unable go summon the a winning kick but kept on well under steady handling to win the battle for the third spot. IHAVETOOMUCHAIR was allowed to settle from the break went two wide through the first turn and came onto the backstretch run near the back of the pack, moved to the rail then navigated a clean run to the the far turn, finished with good energy but was not quite good enough. ROCKY ROCK IT steadied briefly just after the start then got to the rail before the first turn then navigated through traffic while pulling hard on the rider, settled mid-pack then launched a three wide bid through the far turn, had clear run into the stretch but flattened out. CHEATING HEART got away well and was up on the pace through the early stages, settled inside just behind the dueling leaders, started to lose ground under pressure on the far turn then finished evenly. HE'S CHARMING was caught four wide and raced mid-pack under a hold through the early stages, launched a mld four wide bid on the far turn then was unable to kick on in the stretch. FAIR WEATHER FLYER raced mid-pack on the rail through the first turn, steadied repeatedly in traffic and dropped back to last, made a mild advance on the far turn but could not make an impact in the late stages. SPIDERS REVENGE was a bit keen from the break, checked two or three times off heels on the clubhouse turn, the was taken to the outside, pulled to be up three wide with the leading pair, dropped back through the far turn and had nothing to offer in the stretch. LEONARDO CREED went five wide through the first turn then raced mid-pack down the backstretch, was outrun after passing the half-mile marker then was not persevered with through the stretch when hopelessly behind.
