Supplemental nominations in the amount of $2,000 may be made at time of entry and shall include all fees. $5,000 from Open p lus $70,000 Added from the TTA Event Fund plus all fees to be distributed: $1,000 to all starters sixth through last. The remaining balance to be distributed: 60% to the winner, 20% to second, 11% to third, 6% to fourth and 3% to fifth. Weight: 123 lbs.N on-winners of a Sweepstakes at a mile in 2024 - 2025 allowed 3 lbs. Non-winners of two races at a mile since September 22, 2024 allowed 5 lbs. (Maiden, Claiming and Starter races not considered in weight allowances.) This race will be limited to ten starr ters with preference to horses with highest earnings in 2024-2025 at time of entry. Horses not drawing a starting position in the gate will receive a refund of the entry fee. Starters to be named through the entry box by the usual time of closing. VICTORY FOR VETS seized the early lead and slowed the pace to a crawl while getting some light pressure from SON OF A BLING to the outside, opened up on the field passing the three furlong marker then sprinted away when set down past the three-sixteenths pole and won as much the best. PROVEN ADVOCATE was a little slow into stride but unhurried, moved into contention heading into the last turn while under some restraint, waited behind horses then cut the corner into the stretch and won a spirited battle for the second spot. GOLD PILOT lunged at the start and was off a bit slowly, settled at the rear of the compact field, started a steady rally from the three furlong pole, came three wide in the clear through the turn and into the stretch, finished well but came up short in a blanket finish for the second spot. DUST EM broke well and was up on the pace early then ceded the lead on the first turn, angled to the outside approaching the six furlong pole then became a bit rank, pulled three wide just off the leaders down the backstretch, was let loose with three furlongs to run and loomed at the quarter pole but could not go on with the winner in the stretch and came up on the short end of the tight battle for the second spot. TEAM GORMLEY settled mid-pack three wide, finished with good energy but was too late. CHAMPAGNE STOOPER settled on the rail and tracked in the middle of the pack through the early stages, dropped back to last approaching the quarter pole then was outkicked in the late stages. SON OF A BLING allowed VICTORY FOR VETS to dictate the pace despite the slow fractions, stalked to the outside to the far turn then could not keep up from the three furlong marker when that rival quickened the pace, dropped back through the field and had nothing to offer in the stretch.
