UPTOWN TAPPIN steadied at the start when BIG NICKLE took the path out of the gate, settled at the rear of the field saving ground to the far turn, briefly lost focus heading into the turn but got back on track when roused by the rider, bided time through the far turn, swung five wide into the stretch, found best stride in the final furlong and was going best late to win clear. BEGGIN FOR TROUBLE tracked in mid-pack two off the rail, bided time in traffic on the far turn, then launched a four wide bid into the stretch ran on well but was outkicked in the final yards. BIG NICKEL broke in and took the path from UPTOWN TAPPIN then won the race to the first turn and went clear early, maintained the lead into the far turn as the field took closer order behind, was set down at the quarter pole and responded, battled gamely under right handed urging but was outfinished in the final yards. GOOD PRODUCT lagged well behind through the early stages with only UPTOWN TAPPIN to the rear, launched a rally from the five-sixteenths pole, got a clean run in the two path into the stretch and finished up well under strong handling and urging but was not quite good enough. UPTONO BUENA settled inside but not far off the pace, crept closer on the far turn, was poised to make a bid on the far turn but lacked room, got clear run turning for home but could not summon the needed response and finished evenly. MOMISSIONER was always close through the early stages, loomed passing the quarter pole but tired in the stretch. TREVAGGIO got pinballed shortly after the start then tracked in the second flight two to three wide and lacked a rally. ROUSTABOUT raced mid-pack three wide then came up empty late.
