Footnotes
GO GO BOSS tracked close up inside, lacked room on the turn, split horses at the three sixteenth, finished well and was along in time. ZORRO D' ORO broke best and took the early lead, went just over a length clear and maintained the lead through the turn while being confidently handled, was set down at the three-sixteenths marker, tried to fight off a bid from GO GO BOSS with a furlong to run, proved no match but held second well clear of the next horse. EIGHT SEVEN MAGIC always close, bid three wide with three furlongs to run, was no match and chased the top pair to the wire while well clear of the next finisher. BERNARDO raced close up four wide, was under a stiff drive from the three furlong pole and was outrun in the stretch. HUMONGOUSAMONGUS was completely devoid of early speed and was far back early then improved position with some belated interest while not posing a serious threat. KEYS GOLDEN SONG broke well but was not fast enough to contest the pace, chased three wide through the turn then had little to offer in the stretch. UNCLE DON broke slowly then rushed up to the main back, steadied near the nine-sixteenths pole, continued to chase under a drive through the turn then was spent and hand nothing left for the stretch run.
