JACKMAN'S RIDE was hustled from the start and dueled with TWENTYONE N CHANGE through rapid early fractions, put that one away before the quarter pole, opened up in the stretch despite racing on the wrong lead and held clear to the wire. OPTIMAL COURAGE was off poorly then hustled forward, backed off the pace duel passing the half-mile marker, then came back on in the stretch to gain the place. TWENTYONE N CHANGE dueled with JACKMAN'S RIDE through fast early fractions, gave way to that rival near the quarter pole, raced on the wrong lead through the stretch and lost second place in the final yards. AVAILABLE STAR was last away from the gate and dropped well behind through the early stages, saved ground through the turn and was kept to task with a rail run in the stretch but lacked a winning kick. BALSA broke well and was sent hard but unable to contest the early pace, tracked two deep with OPTIMAL COURAGE into the turn, broke away from that rival at the five-sixteenths pole and went after the leaders but could not summon another gear when needed. CAMPFIRE CREED was one of the first out of the gate but outrun to the turn, chased with some interest down the stretch but was unable to improve.
