ANGEL IN THE AIR lacked speed at the outset then went three wide into the first turn, advanced down the backstretch then was under a stiff drive from the three furlong marker, came five wide into the stretch, lugged in under right handed urging but kept on in a grinding finish and was first to the line. CHIP ALTERNATIVE fractious in the gate, raced a few lengths behind the pace having to be coaxed at times to keep up, dropped to last before the far turn, kept to the inside, tipped out to the four path mid-stretch, found some vigor in the final furlong, closed late and just missed. ALONG CAME THUNDER got bumped by FUN AS ALL GET OUT at the start, tracked two to three wide, made a bold move late on the far turn to vie for the lead, but a head in front in deep stretch but weakened late and could not finish the job. COME ON SING broke out an into FUN AS ALL GET OUT knocking that foe into ALONG CAME THUNDER, hustled then seized the early lead with ANGEL IN THE AIR pressing to the outside, went through moderate fractions to the far turn, kept on well under steady handling but was outfinished in the final yards. NO MORO HERE was off a step slow the tracked close up while a bit headstrong, got boxed in on the far turn then found room two wide on the last bend then could not find the needed response in the late stages. FUN AS ALL GIT OUT took a hard bump from COME ON SING at the start, then pressed moderate fractions from the two path, launched a bid after passing the three furlong pole but had to be hard ridden to keep pace and faltered in the stretch.
