THE DEVIL'S BET gunned to the front and opened up a two length advantage early, took some pressure on the turn, came into the stretch with the lead, responded to strong handling and intermittent urging and held gamely to the wire. TEXAS CREED chased inside, was turned away at every challenge but kept coming back, made one last surge near the finish and narrowly missed. SILVER ASSASSIN was placed towards the rear early on, deftly navigated through horses on the turn and through the stretch, finished with good energy under steady handling and came up short in a blanket finish. DARYLS TRUMP CARD raced in the middle of the pack through the first furlong then went after the trio of leaders going into the turn, dropped to the rail then finished well under steady handling, was gaining rapidly but ran out of time. FLYING CAESAR chased three wide to the stretch, had trouble changing leads and weakened in the drive. BABY OF THE FAMILY was last to the turn then rallied four wide into the stretch and was making up ground in the late stages. CRAZY RIDGE tracked four wide with the trailing group down the backstretch, made a mild three wide bid on the turn then went evenly through the stretch while lacking a closing bid. GHURAIR'S WARRIOR raced in the middle of the pack in cover to the turn, saved ground but could not threaten late. JUST HANGIN RIDGE broke well and was close up through the initial stages but backed up before the turn and was eased in the stretch.
