IMMA GOING TO WIN broke on top, dueled briefly with NOW HEAR THIS through the turn, shrugged that rival off before the quarter pole, responded when set down in upper stretch, and held clear under steady handling and urging. GIRL FROM DE BAYOU tracked close up three-wide, finished gamely but could not get to the winner. SELECTIVELY SWEET settled off the pace, was under a drive with three furlongs left to run, could not get to the top pair but bested the others; was dismounted on the clubhouse turn, vetted, and transported from the track in the equine ambulance. MATHURINE tracked four-wide, always close up, and finished with some late interest. CAPETOWN CANDY was outpaced near the back, kept to task late, and was mildly gaining late. RAZORS EDGE devoid of early speed, came four-wide into the stretch and made a mild improvement. SPICY ITALIAN was far behind early and made a belated rally to pass a couple of tired rivals in the stretch. CHECKER'S SONG raced three-wide near the rear, then stopped in the stretch. NOW HEAR THIS last away, advanced up the rail to join the leader before the half-mile pole, dueled through the turn, weakened at the five-sixteenths marker, and tired in the stretch.
