MIAMI MOONLIGHT broke well but was held up and taken back before the first turn, settled at the back of the pack and was content to race there for the first half, saved ground through the far turn and looked to swing wide into the stretch but found a large opening to the inside, rallied up the rail the tipped out through a seam just past the furlong marker and finished strong under steady handling to get up in plenty of time. WHISKEY WITH YOU broke well, got caught three wide into the first turn then moved up to stalk TURQUOISE BLUE down the backstretch, bid for the lead approaching the quarter pole but found that foe resurgent, battled gamely through the stretch, got the best of the rival in the late stages but was unable to hold off the winner. SINGING DIXIE was not asked for early speed from the start, tracked two to three wide down the backstretch near the rear of the field, advanced steadily down the backstretch, launched a bid with three furlongs to run, came three wide into the stretch and rallied under strong handling and urging to grab the show prize. SUPREME LEADER was pushed to get forward position but was unable to do so, secured a spot on the rail and tracked from well back, spun four wide into the turn and produced a mild late run under steady handling and urging but was lacking a winning kick. BROOKLYN ALLEY CAT raced in the middle of the field to the stretch and finished with some late interest, was gaining ground late. SUMMER LOVER chased TURQUOISE BLUE through the clubhouse turn then got over the trail and tracked that one to the far turn, made a mild bid under a drive from late on the turn but was outkicked in the stretch. TURQUOISE BLUE broke well and went clear through the first turn, led the field to the far then then dug in when WHISKEY WITH YOU made a challenge near the quarter pole, battled that foe gamely inside before capitulating inside the sixteenth. ROWDY JESS tracked near the rear of the field two to three wide then could not keep up after passing three furlong pole and chased the rest of the trip.
