BLING MOUNTAIN settled mid-pack from the track then came out to the two path to challenge SIR STERLING in upper stretch, battled the length of the stretch and got a head in front with yards to go. SIR STERLING was hustled to the front and went a length clear with SPEIGHT AND MALICE taking up the chase, came under a stiff drive passing the quarter pole, then dug in when challenged in the stretch but came up short at the finish. MALIBU S S was last down the backstretch, swung six wide into the stretch and finished with good energy to grab the third spot while no threat to the top pair. SOUL SACRIFICE coaxed early to no avail, tracked near the rear of the field, came under a ride before the quarter pole and finished with some late interest while never a serious threat. SPEIGHT AND MALICE got forward position with some encouragement from the start, tracked the pacesetter into and through the turn, weakened at the quarter pole then went evenly in the late stages. ESTABLISHED was last early but not far from the front, bid five wide on the turn the six wide into the stretch but could not improve. IT MAKES SENSE was mid-pack three wide early, then moved closer to the lead on the turn, loomed four wide past the quarter pole then faltered in the stretch.
