Footnotes
IN OPEN COURT broke alertly but was content to track from well behind the pacesetting pair to the far turn, responded when asked to go on near the quarter pole, rallied up the rail through the stretch and just held off a fast closing rival to the outside at the wire. CACTUS BLOSSOM settled mid-pack from the break and content to let the pace scenario play out up front, saved ground throughout then responded when roused at the top of the stretch, finished with a rush to just miss. FACTOR THAT was hustled from the start and responded by getting first run into the turn, went well clear of the rest with only RUN WITT RUN giving chase, had as much as ten lengths on the field on the far turn, had something left for the stretch run and repelled the bid by that rival at the top of the stretch then weakened in the final furlong and was unable to fend off the pair of late closers in the final yards. RUN WITT RUN chased FACTOR THAT well clear of the rest of the field, made a bid to overtake that one passing the quarter pole but was unable to get past, kept on well but was overtaken in the final yards. KEEP THE BLING was not asked for speed from the break and settled well off the pace in the two path, had only the late starter behind going down the backstretch then rallied from off the rail on the far turn to the three path, finished well but had too much ground to make up and could not make an impact. GYPSAN broke awkwardly, went three wide through the first turn then settled to the outside of the tracking group, finished with mild interest to improve. CALLIN FOR DOLLARS tracked two deep at the head of the second flight and was outkicked in the stretch. LEXINGTON DIVA dwelt at the start, spotted field field several lengths head start, chased throughout. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
