Footnotes
OUT OF THE CLOUDS saved ground, was unrushed early, angled to the five path on the far turn, rallied and drew off under steady handing while gearing down late. GUCCI MAN dueled outside of the leader, with no late bid. FINN AND BRENNAN bid near the three-quarters pole, stalked the pace in the four path, rallied on the far turn but was no match. SNOW KING stalked the pace inside, bid at the three-quarters mark to be in contention, then faded on the far turn. THUNDERING HEART dueled inside but had no bid when the closers came. GAGLIARDI stalked the pace between foes, bid near the three-quarters pole, vied in the three path and faded in the stretch. PERMIT TO CARRY and WAR DEPT CALLING were not factors. ONLY THE GOOD was bumped and squeezed back at the start.
