ALSTON stalked the pace in the four path, bid at the quarter pole and was clear under a mild drive. BRUHN was off slowly, raced in the four path, rallied at the quarter pole but couldn't get to the winner. ZAPPING STRIKE stalked the pace in the four path, bid at the quarter pole, moved to the rail late and couldn't close. SHIPMAN was clear early, faded in the stretch and steadied late. BREWING pressed the pace inside and faded in the stretch. READY AS EVER trailed and improved position late outside. CIAO TOMMASO was off awkwardly and saved ground to no avail. CHANCES TAKEN raced in the four path and faded. GET AWAY WITH IT faded. THE STEWARDS DISMISSED AN OBJECTION BY THE RIDER OF SHIPMAN AGAINST ZAPPING STRIKE ALLEGING INTERFERENCE IN THE STRETCH.
