SHORTSTOP brushed an outer foe leaving the gate, vied inside of a rival early on, backed off to switch outside of that foe at the five furlong pole, issued a rebid in the three path into the far turn, led turning for home before drawing clear entering the lane and held sway from an outer pursuer through the final sixteenth. CHACHACHING steadied in tight rail quarters into the first turn, pursued from midpack along the inside before inching closer down the backstretch, moved two wide and between rivals while continuing progress into the lane, rallied to take aim on the clear leader in the final furlong but was kept at bay. MIDNIGHT SURVIVOR eased back under a snug hold among foes early on, raced off of the pace in the three path, saved ground around the far turn, then ran on along the rail to gain show late. PAVED IN GOLD vied two wide, led as his inner counterpart eased back with five furlongs to go, met that foe's outer re-bid while remaining in the two path into the far turn, got headed leaving the three furlong pole and gave way. CATALINA CAT tracked three to two wide, chased while getting floated three to four wide in upper stretch and gave way. BAOBAB was brushed by an inner rival at the start, raced off of the pace two to three wide and failed to factor. TURNBUCKLE pursued from the two path then failed to factor. PROMISSIONE lacked speed along the inside, then in the three to four path around the far turn and made little impact. MR. CHUCK raced forwardly near the inside and weakened around the far turn. BYWORD lacked speed in the four path early on then showed little.
