Footnotes
STORMPROOF set the pace along the inside, dueled with an outer bidder turning for home, held sway from that foe and lasted from a wider challenger late. LEAN MUSIC MACHINE raced forwardly along the inside while coaxed along into the turn, pursued behind the top pair and from the two path turning for home, shifted to the four path to take aim outside of them in upper stretch, sustained gradual progress to bid in the final sixteenth but came up short. CAPTAIN FANCY bumped an outer rival at the start, stalked two wide, applied pressure to the leader before sparking a duel at the five sixteenths pole, battled in the three path while hanging on his left lead in upper stretch, failed to sustain even terms while an outer foe ranged up in the final sixteenth and got outkicked by that one for place late. AERATE raced well back in the two path, moved up to grab fourth from outer rival at the furlong grounds and willingly chased the leading trio home. HEAVY HITTER tracked in the three path, was urged along in pursuit around the turn before floating to the four path entering the lane and gave way. MEMPHIS SLIM was bumped by an inner rival at the start and broke a step slow, raced off of the pace in the four to three path before moving out to the five path entering the lane, but lacked a rally and shifted in. JACK RABBIT raced off of the pace along the inside, trailed into the turn, moved out to the three path at the five sixteenths pole and made little impact. BET ON BRET pursued along the inside and tired.
