Footnotes
THIRTEEN COLONIES tracked along the inside, loomed a danger in the two path and behind the leaders turning for home, split foes in the three path entering the lane, unleashed a strong kick to sweep past the leader at the furlong grounds and spurted clear. MOON CHANNEL was off slow and steadied back as an inner foe shifted across his path, settled at the rear, saved ground before pausing briefly behind foes entering the lane, split rivals two wide in upper stretch, rallied while tipping to the three to four path in the final furlong and gained place late. LEBOWSKI saved ground off of the pace, tipped two wide in upper stretch, stayed on along the inside to vie for place in the final furlong but got outkicked by an outer bidder. DR. NIKO pressed two wide and between horses, bid and gained an advantage at the five sixteenths pole, led as an outer foe took aim in upper stretch, proved no match for that one passing the furlong pole and yielded between horses. A BOURBON FOR TOBY laid off of the pace two wide, took the far turn in the four path before fanning out to the seven path into the lane and moved up willingly. MIGHTY MIKE settled well back along the inside, moved to the three path around the far turn, then ran on one paced among foes through the lane. ANEW leaned outwardly and brushed the gate at the start, pursued from midpack in the three path, tipped to the five path while between horses entering the lane and lacked a bid. BRUSHFIRE stalked outside of the top pair and from the four path, but got outkicked while floating to the five path entering upper stretch and faded between horses. BIG RITZ got rank among foes early on, remained hard to handle while drifting to the five path into the first turn, settled well back tucking to the two path around that bend, moved out to the six to eight path in upper stretch and made little impact. EXECUTIVE tracked form the three path, chased while hung in the five path around the far turn, spun into the lane in the six path and faded between horses. ZUN REYDER showed the way along the inside, but was headed by an outer presser at the five sixteenths pole and wilted.
