Footnotes
COMPETITIVE MARKET pressed two wide, had his rider momentarily lose his left iron when prompting between foes leaving the five furlong pole, recovered quickly and vied around the far turn, forged an advantage passing the quarter pole before meeting an outer challenge entering the lane, dug in and repelled that foe in the final sixteenth. NEXT UP laid off of the pace along the inside, bided time while stalking from the pocket around the far turn, tipped out and bid three deep entering the lane but was fended off by the leader through the final furlong and was turned away late. PERRYLU set the pace as the eventual winner applied firm outer pressure, vied with that one around the far turn but yielded to an outer pair entering the lane then lasted for show. GOATS ON A TREE tracked from the three path, chased around the far turn then gave way. DOZEN DIAMONDS laid off of the pace in the four path, inched forward to press three deep approaching the nine sixteenths pole, but came under a drive to sustain pressure turning for home then faded passing the quarter pole.
