Footnotes
CAPE TRAFALGAR laid close up along the inside, stalked into the turn, pursued from the two path while awaiting racing room behind the leaders turning for home, remained behind traffic entering the lane, altered course outside of the leading trio and to the five path leaving upper stretch and drove past them in the late stages. TWO EAGLES RIVER tracked from the four path, bid four wide entering the lane, vied with a pair of inner rivals in upper stretch, dueled with a solo foe as an outer rival ranged up in the final furlong, saw his rider lose his crop while battling between horses in the closing stages and got outkicked. SCOOT DADDY tracked in the three path and between horses, bid among foes entering the lane, vied between a pair of rivals in upper stretch before sparring with an outer foe through the final furlong, but lost that battle and was outkicked by a wider bidder late. WICO (IRE) set the pace in the two path, vied with an outer prompter around the turn, got headed by a pair of wider bidders in upper stretch and yielded through the final furlong. SAHALAT brushed with an outer rival and was put to tight quarters between horses soon after the start, laid off of the pace in the two path, encountered brief traffic in upper stretch then ran on mildly. DEER DISTRICT brushed with an inner rival leaving the gate, lacked speed in the three path, shifted out to the six path in upper stretch and failed to menace. PAY ZONE prompted outside of the leader, vied turning for home, but weakened between horses entering the lane. PRINCIPE CARLO chased from the four to five path, but tired in the seven path in upper stretch. FORT WARREN lagged behind in the five path and got outrun.
