Footnotes
NOT SO HOLY set the pace along the inside, built a clear advantage turning for home, drew off under a drive while hanging on his left lead through upper stretch, changed over at the furlong grounds and was kept to task thereafter. LATTA pursued from midpack along the inside, shifted out to the four path in upper stretch, ran on to bid for place at the sixteenth pole and edged that position. D DAY stalked two wide, chased the clearing leader turning for home, proved no match for that one before meeting an outer challenge for place at the sixteenth pole, dug in but was bested. SCOTTISH STORM broke inwardly and got keen when corrected to keep from hitting the inner rail, chased from midpack two wide and between horses, chased in the three path into the lane, then improved position between horses to edge fourth late. MUNYHUNGRY stalked along the inside, chased into the lane then faded between horses late. LUCCHESI bumped with an outer rival at the start, chased forwardly in the three path and between horses, shifted out to the five path into the lane and gave way. AIR IT OUT broke a step slow then saved ground off of the pace to no avail. PHENOMENAL DREAM broke slowly spotting the rest multiple lengths at the start, moved out of last in the three path into the turn, picked up stride moving to the five path turning for home, swung out to the eight path entering the lane, but hung on his left lead in upper stretch, lugged inwardly and failed to threaten. PLUNDER bumped with an inner rival at the start, laid off of the pace in the three path, swung out to the seven path and between horses entering the lane, but failed to factor. MAESTRO tracked from the five to four path into the turn, floated to the six path into the lane and faded between horses. CODE ONE lacked speed along the inside, trailed around the turn and made little impact. CRUSADER CONRAD broke sharply, chased in the four path and between horses for a quarter mile, but weakened around the turn.
