Footnotes
IRON SHARPENS IRON broke a step slow, laid off of the pace along the inside, shifted six wide at the three sixteenths pole, rallied to bid along with an outer rival approaching the wire and prevailed between horses. BURNHAM SQUARE settled off of the pace while hung in the five path, fanned eight wide into upper stretch, yet rallied outside of rivals, bid along with an inner foe late, but only reached place. THUNDERHAWK was briefly fractious behind the starting gate, pressed teh leader from the three path, cleared entering the lane, but hung on his left lead and was caught by an outer pair nearing the wire. TOM CAT TUESDAY tracked along the inside, then ran on between horses. FREE COUNTRY tracked two wide and between horses, took aim in the three path entering the lane, but only managed to chase before yielding to outer rivals at the sixteenth pole. THE CHALK lacked speed in the three path, swung seven wide and between horses into upper stretch but lacked a bid. DESERT AIRE bumped an outer rival at the start, chased from midpack in the four path, lugged in while hanging on his left lead in upper stretch and faded between horses. CHARMING TIGER trailed along the inside and got outrun. WINTER CREEK took contact from an inner rival at the start, stalked in the four path but weakened between horses. STAY FROSTY set the pace inside of a prompting rival but weakened entering the lane. HALTER BOY lacked speed two wide and showed little.
