Footnotes
PRINCESS IS OLIVIA broke in and bumped a rival at the start, vied for the lead with an inner foe and from the three path into the turn, led leaving the three furlong pole, met an inner challenge coming to midstretch, gamely turned away that bidder as an outer rival menaced in the final sixteenth and held firm. ASIAN MATRIARCH was floated out by an inner rival and forced to bump an outer foe at the start, tracked in the three path and between a pair of foes around the turn, tipped to the four path into the lane, sustained slow and gradual progress on the top pair in the final furlong, closed in to offer a late bid but only managed to gain place. SUGAR BELL stalked along the inside, then in the two path into the lane, split foes leaving upper stretch to bid inside of the leader approaching the furlong grounds, sparred with that one into the final sixteenth, but flattened out late and got nailed at the wire for place. OUTOFNOTHINGATALL broke outwardly and contributed to trouble for outer rivals at the start, led narrowly from an outer prompter while in the two path into the turn, got headed by that one leaving the three furlong pole, then weakened in midstretch. RIBBONSINHERHAIR broke a step slow, was pinched and steadied back between horses at the start, trailed along the inside, paused behind rivals in the two to three path into the lane, shifted out to the five path passing the three sixteenths pole, but failed to threaten. UNION SUIT was bumped by an outer rival and put to crowded quarters between horses at the start, stalked outside of rivals and from the four path, but yielded while getting floated out to the six path in upper stretch. SWEET CHABLIS bumped with rivals on both sides at the start, laid off of the pace two wide, swung out to the seven path into upper stretch but never got involved.
