Footnotes
POWERLINE hesitated at the start and was away behind his field, was rank into stride, tugged to contention five wide, made a sweeping move through the turn six wide, looped into the stretch seven deep, struck the front nearing the furlong marker and held doggedly. HIGHWAYMEN bumped hard with YOU WANT SOME leaving the chute, recovered quickly and moved up along the inside, got through and loomed a danger but was unable to match strides with the winner late. KNICKS DIAMONDS was forwardly placed between rivals, was put in tight and steadied near the eleven-sixteenths marker, leveled into stride and fought on through a prolonged drive to earn the minor award. BOURBON NEAT settled off of the inside, came four wide, angled in entering the stretch and was making up some ground late. SHOCK VALUE was allowed to settle, tacked inward to save some ground, angled out entering the stretch and finished with a belated improvement. OVERTIME BONUS was away alertly, opened clear to set the pace, was collard between horses leaving the turn, drifted out into the lane and gave way. SUPREME COMMANDER stalked in hand, bid five wide between foes, but flattened in the final furlong and faded. MAHOGANY DREAM was close up four wide, but came up empty on the turn and retreated. TACAMO was never a factor. YOU WANT SOME bumped hard with HIGHWAYMEN leaving the chute and steadied, was caught in tight and steadied again near the five furlong marker, settled along the inside but showed little thereafter.
