Footnotes
T O ELVIS lacked speed in the four to five path around the turn, shifted six wide at the three sixteenths pole, unleashed a tremendous kick entering the final furlong then quickened again to surge past the clear leader with thirty yards to go. ENGLISHMAN pressed the leader from the three path, assumed command while well in hand with five sixteenths to go, kicked clear in upper stretch but got caught by an outer on-charging bidder nearing the wire. LIAM SMITH set the pace along the inside as an outer rival applied firm outer pressure, got headed by that one at the five sixteenths pole, proved no match while battling for place with an outer counterpart in upper stretch, got outkicked by a wider bidder in the final furlong then held show. HYMN raced forwardly in the four path and between horses, chased in the three to two path turning for home, progressed to vie for place in upper stretch, continued to spar for show after being outkicked in the final furlong but was denied that position. STRADALE raced off of the pace in the four to five path into the turn, got outkicked by an inner foe while floating to the seven to eight path in upper stretch yet ran on and moved up to gain fifth late. BUILT brushed with an outer foe leaving the gate, raced off of the pace in the three path, then the four path and between horses at the three furlong pole, fanned five wide into the lane, sustained pursuit while getting outkicked by an outer rival in midstretch then flattened out. LITTLE THUNDER brushed with an inner foe leaving the gate, raced off of the pace near the inside, stayed on mildly along the rail but failed to menace. LISTENUPSHANCE pursued from midpack along the inside, chased in the two path into the lane, encountered brief traffic in upper stretch, but lacked a bid once clear and yielded. NAKATOMI trailed while tucking to the inside into the turn, shifted to the five path into the lane then improved position on his left lead. ROLL ON BIG JOE lacked speed in the three to four path and between horses, fanned to the six path into the lane and failed to factor. MAD HOUSE pursued forwardly in the two path, gave way around the turn then weakened between rivals leaving the five sixteenths pole. AMERICAN STAGE tracked from the five to path, inched forward into striking range reaching the lane but weakened between rivals. DARK SAFFRON chased forwardly in the three path and between horses then weakened around the turn.
