STAR ROCK STAR broke out at the start and crowded outer rival, sent to contest the solid early pace, dueled outside of A MILLION MOONS into the far turn, held a narrow lead into the final furlong, dug in into the final sixteenth and proved best late. A MILLION MOONS contested the solid early pace from the inside, dueled inside of STAR ROCK STAR into the far turn, met the bid of that foe to mid-stretch, fought gamely while inside of STAR ROCK STAR into the final sixteenth, was kept at bay in deep stretch and was a clear second best. TAMBOURINE STAR rated off of the early dueling pacesetters, settled in the second flight heading into the backstretch, roused two wide nearing the quarter marker, angled in for the stretch drive, could not impact the top pair in the late stages, closed the gap in deep stretch and held for third. BRITTANY'S DREAM settled while saving ground to the first turn, never far back along the backstretch run, kept an inside path to the far turn, angled two to three wide to upper stretch, flattened out in the lane and was outkicked late for third. CONEJO CHAPIN off a step slow to begin then reserved in the early stages, settled between rivals to the first turn, took back into the backstretch then trailed at the half-mile, swung to the two path to upper stretch, did not factor in the late stages. BALLINONABUDJET hopped then crowed at the start, settled outside of rivals into the first turn, coaxed three wide along the backstretch, lacked the needed response into the far turn, came up empty in the stretch drive.
